2. Functional Storage We Use

Our application uses cookies and browser storage strictly for functional purposes. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

• Authentication: We use storage to maintain your secure login session via Supabase (auth token storage). This prevents you from having to log in every time you open the app.
• Themes & Preferences: We store your visual preferences (such as light or dark mode) in localStorage to ensure the application loads instantly in your preferred theme.
• Offline Caching (IndexedDB): To allow you to enter clinical logs when you do not have an internet connection, we store cases locally on your device. These cases are automatically synchronized with your cloud database when you reconnect.
• Google Drive Sync: When you connect your Google Drive, we store functional access tokens securely in your browser to maintain the real-time cloud backup connection.

3. Third-Party Cookies

When you use the Google Drive synchronization feature or Sign In with Google, Google may set cookies on your browser to verify your identity and manage API requests. These are managed directly under Google's Privacy and Cookie policies.

4. Managing Your Cookies

You can configure your browser to reject cookies or clear local storage. However, please note that disabling local storage will prevent My CESR Companion from working correctly, as we rely on it to keep you authenticated, retain your configurations, and prevent patient data exposure by keeping logs local until encrypted.
